Right now life in the suburbs is almost non-existent. Our neighborhood has the few people who sit in their garage or on the porch and observe in the winter, the very same way they do in the warmer parts of the year. However, for the most part life is quiet. The ground hog may have stuck his head out of the hole but I and most of my neighbors have yet to do the same thing.
It’s just a matter of weeks before life returns to activity on Maple Lane. I am really beginning to long for those afternoons spent sweating while gardening and mornings of waking up bright and early because my window is open and my neighbors are mowing their lawns at the butt crack of early for a Saturday morning. I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to be outside for a while, yet cool enough to keep the mosquitoes away.
Mostly, I just can’t wait until I have some news to share with you all about what people are doing!
