Crazy Cat Lady Minimize

This woman is on a mission to save every cat, 9 lives at a time. She proudly flies the cat national flag in her front yard (seriously), hates the (in)Humane Society because they don't do enough to take care of her babies and their offspring. She routinely has something stupid to say when she sees me or any of my other neighborhood cohorts. Don't be worried that you might be a Crazy Cat Lady just because you have a cat or few. It takes a whole lot more than cats to make you a Crazy Cat Lady.

Blonde Blob on a Bike Minimize

Famous in the neighborhood for her persistance at school fundraisers, every neighbor just thanks the Lord that she isn't involved in any extra-curricular activities that have fundraisers. Seen screaming up and down the streets and the younger kids, she's got a set of lungs as big as her mom's. She's a mean, nasty kid. I won't be hiring her to babysit anytime soon, I'd rather miss out on the party of the year!

I met camp guy when I interned at a summer camp. He’s a great friend, sensitive, caring and last I heard, single! Call me ladies, I have his number and I will give it to you! Camp Guy likes the Midwest, grilling out, relaxing and adventure. Yes, this is basically an “non-personal” ad… He’s a regular on Maple Lane.

Dog Poop Kid Minimize
We recently hired the nice neighbor kid to help us with a dirty job. In theory, we pay him to come over and pick up dog poop in our backyard twice a week. In theory he comes over twice a week and in theory he picks up dog poop. I always remind him when he rides his bike by that he was supposed to be here two or three days ago. J and I also have to go out back after he has left and pick up at least 10 dog droppings after he has left, before J mows the lawn.

Crazy Red Car Man Minimize

He wrecks havoc upon the neighborhood with his allegedly frivolous lawsuits, his grumpy demeanor and crappy attitude. He knows no one likes him but he thinks it’s for reasons that it has nothing to do with. It’s his opinion that he is the victim when in reality he is the antagonist. In my story he reeks of animosity and aggression.

Special Friend Minimize

Close friends and co-workers, my husband Jay and SF enjoy doing almost everything together. At first I thought that his unique sense of humor might be a little too much for our group of friends and decided he was our "special friend" that we couldn't bring around the others. Almost right away I realized that he was a GREAT friend and now we don't bring our friends around who can't handle Special Friend. In fact, we might be more "special" than he is. SF wants me to point out that his namesake does not come from wearing a special helmet, he won't even wear a helmet on his motorcycle!

Neighbor Minimize

Keeping up with the Jones' used to not be a problem for either of us; we both want such different things in life. Keeping up with lawn mowing is another story. Saddled with a child, a job, a vacation property and plenty of family drama, Neighbor is content and so am I. Things were really great in the beginning, then rocky and now it's at a fair status. I think she reads my blog and is upset with me...or maybe it's just my conscious.

I've always wanted to be a Real World roomate but I no longer need to. KC and I have lived that life! We've got the drama, the tears and so much more! An avid exerciser, a wonderful life-coachesque consultant, a vegetarian and a great friend, KC is part of my family and a part of my neighborhood.
