Dear Baby LuLu,
Happy Easter! You have no idea what that means but I can tell you that there are many traditions surrounding the holiday known as Easter. Most of them are religious and are pretty important to your dad and me. We hope and pray that they will be just as important to you. We also will incorporate the less important traditions because although they are less important, they are still traditions that your daddy and I grew up with in our families. We’ll let you make the decision that we can’t agree on, turkey or ham.
Right now you are about 3 pounds, 10 ounces. Even though you pack a powerful punch to the innards of my belly, you are tiny. Our ultrasound from a few days ago shows that you are head down in preparation for your grand entrance. All day long I can feel your little bootie moving around in my belly. Sometimes I give you a poke or just put my hand on top of your bottom and you move it out of the way. Hopefully this is not tormenting you because I’m enjoying this little game so much!
The last ultrasound we had showed that you have a ton of hair on your tiny little head! How exciting! I’m going to go buy some barrettes and bows for your pretty hair. We also know that you have these ginormous cheeks and gorgeous lips!
We love you so much and can’t wait for our life alongside you to begin. Every now and then I’ll giggle and daddy doesn’t even say anything anymore because he knows I’m just thinking about you. Also, several times daddy has said, “Our kid is going to be so rad!” You don’t know what that means yet but it’s a pretty important word from our adolescence that means you are amazing, beautiful, and perfect, the best, awesome, wonderful, fabulous and so much more!
